How it actually works We don’t just want a simple on-off switch. That’s boring. Instead, we tuck humidity sensors and temperature probes into the system. The second the air hits that “dew point” (basically, the moment your shower starts steaming up the room), the hub tells the relay to kick in. The IR element heats up in seconds. No waiting around. No lag. Just a clear mirror the moment you step out. The nitty-gritty stuff Under the hood, we’re usually looking at conductive films or quartz glass tubes. If you’re putting in a high-wattage array, just make sure your wiring can handle the punch without dipping in voltage. To keep things safe, we use PWM (Pulse Width Modulation). It sounds fancy, but it basically just means we’re regulating the temperature so the glass doesn’t get too hot and crack. It keeps the surface steady and safe to touch. The catch Now, look—adding smart tech to a bathroom isn’t without its headaches. You’re putting a circuit board and a wireless chip in a room full of steam. If your control box isn’t sealed properly, the electronics will corrode and die. That’s why we insist on IP65-rated enclosures. Everything has to be airtight. One-touch remote control is great and all, but it only works if your Wi-Fi is stable and your seals are tight. If you skimp on the waterproofing, the whole thing is just a fancy paperweight.
