Stop Fighting Heat Spikes in Your SIPA Rotary Machines
Ever deal with those annoying burst bottles or wall thickness that just won’t stay consistent? It’s a headache. Usually, it comes down to one thing: your preforms aren’t getting heat evenly. Most of the time, this happens because replacement lamps don’t actually match the original KOSME KSB 4000 power specs. It sounds minor, but if your wattage is off by even 5% across the lamp bank, you get cold spots. And cold spots mean wasted plastic.
Getting the Power Right
We make our lamps to hit the exact wattage and voltage the KOSME KSB 4000 expects. Here’s the thing: if you use a lamp with the wrong voltage, your heat density drops. Your first instinct might be to just crank up the oven temperature to compensate. Don’t do that. Pushing the oven too hard puts a lot of stress on the internal components. We focus on keeping the power steady from one end of the tube to the other so you don’t have to play guessing games with the thermostat.
The Tech Side (Simplified)
These are shortwave halogen lamps, built with high-purity quartz glass. We do this so they can handle the “thermal shock” of turning on and off rapidly without cracking. As for the fit? They use R7s/Sk15 connectors. They’re simple drop-in replacements. You just slide them into your existing sockets—no rewiring, no fuss. We also add a special coating to the quartz. It helps push the energy directly into the PET material instead of letting it bounce off and heat up the oven walls.
Real Talk: The Shop Floor
These lamps are designed to keep your cycle times low by delivering a ton of heat quickly. But there’s a catch. When you pack that much power into a small space, your cooling fans have to work harder. If your ventilation is clogged with dust, these lamps will burn out way faster than they should. And please, keep your reflectors clean. A dusty reflector kills your efficiency. It forces the heating elements to work overtime just to hit the target temp, which wears them down. Give them a wipe, and your lamps will last much longer.
